Using adhesion promoters on Carbon fiber build plates
When using our carbon fiber build-plates the adhesion between the bed and the print can be extremely strong. In order not to destroy the surface of the build-plate we always recommend to use an adhesion promoter. This allows the hassle free release of the print after cooling down. We tested a lot of polymers like PEEK, PEI, PI, PA, PLA, PP on our build-plates and we learned that for high temperature polymers the use of Magigoo HT works very well. On the lower temperature range we see that the dedicated range of Magigoo (PP, PA etc) performs really well. Also 3Dlac, Dimafix and other adhesion promoters will work.
We noticed when using polyamides the adhesion is soo strong that it can damage the surface of the plate.
